About Us

There’s a particular moment when a painting finds its frame. The image settles. The edges resolve. What was a work in progress becomes a thing complete.

That moment is what we’re here for.

ArtCentric was founded on a simple conviction: that art, and the people who make and buy it, deserve a more considered kind of support. Our co-directors bring together GCF-qualified framing expertise, professional digital printmaking, and over thirty years of combined experience in the arts — from gallery curation to artist mentoring, from exhibition consultation to critical writing.

We are based in Shaftesbury, Dorset, in the heart of a region rich with working artists and discerning collectors. We know this community because we are part of it.

What we do

Bespoke Picture Framing
Every frame we make is intention and commitment. Our lead framer, with two decades of experience holds the Fine Arts Trade Guild GCF qualification (Guild Commended Framer) — the benchmark of craft in the UK framing industry — and brings to each commission the kind of attention that protects work, enhances it, and provides archival quality.
 
We work with original paintings, limited edition prints, photography, works on paper and textiles. We take the time to understand the work before we discuss the frame.
Fine Art Printing
With over 10 years of digital print making expertise, producing limited-edition archival prints to the highest professional standard. A print is not a compromise; in the right hands it is a considered object in its own right.
Fine Art Sales
We sell original art by artists with whom we work very closely — selected with the same eye we bring to everything else. Whether you are beginning a collection or adding to one, we can help you find work that repays looking at, year after year.
Artist Marketing Services

Making good work is one thing. Getting it seen is another. We offer artists a range of practical services: website design and portfolio management, social media strategy, written profiles and artist statements, mentoring, and exhibition consultation.

We write about artists the way art deserves to be written about — with knowledge, with care, and without the hollow language that flattens everything it touches.

A note on where we are

Dorset Art Weeks. The Wylye Valley Art Trail. Somerset Open Studios. The south west of England has one of the most vital concentrations of practising artists in the country, and some of its most enthusiastic buyers.

We are here because this is where the work is.
